Berkley FireLine was one of the first braids we ever stocked and it has always been a popular brand. Technology however has advanced greatly since the design of the original FireLine but the Scientists at Berkley have now worked their magic to bring FireLine bang up to date

FireLine Ultra 8 is now an 8 carrier braid which gives a rounder more consistent line structure for better handling. It’s the finest FireLine created. The application of the famous FireLine process thermally fuses the remarkably strong 8-carrier Dyneema PE fibre braid to give it a feel more akin to a monofilament than a braid. As well as being finer and smoother Ultra 8 also casts 10% farther than the old FireLine. It’s also tougher offering 50% more abrasion resistance than classic FireLine making it a good choice for fishing in tough conditions
