Bookies Rig’s Long Dongle Pulley (Ray) Rig

The Bookies Rigs Long Dongle Pulley (Ray) Rig is hand tied by Dean and is his go to rig for targeting big rays. The 120mm braid dongle allows you to achieve perfect presentation with bluey, sandeel and squid cocktail baits. The 4/0 Varivas circle hook is tied using a perfection loop which allows the hook to rotate freely giving almost guaranteed lip hooking when the ray moves off with your bait.

The rig is tied from premium components and the 100lb rig body and hook snood allow safe powerful casting, even with 8oz sinkers, and help resist abrasion from the rays rough skin. When you are playing a fish the 6’ body and snood helps to keeps your sinker well above the fish hugely reducing the risk of it snagging if you need to bring the fish over boulders or reef edges.

The rig is finished with high quality crane swivels and is fitted a Breakaway Imp bait clip.
