Shimano Stradic 4000-FL

The Shimano Stradic 4000-FL is the first model in the Stradic class to feature Shimano’s Long Stroke spool design. Couple this with Shimano’s fantastic line lay and you have improved casting performance with the fine braid favoured for lure fishing but nylon lines can also be used if desired.

The Long Stroke spool is not the only new feature to find its way on the Shimano Stradic 4000-FL spec. sheet as this model also boasts Silent Drive and Micromodule Gear II for a super smooth and quiet retrieve. X-Protect keeps the water out of the reels internals by combining the internal water repellent and a labyrinth structure. This achieves performance that can repel water without losing the lightness of rotation.

This features in the line roller section and the roller clutch assembly (anti-reverse). As a result, the durability of the line roller has been improved more than five times (compared to their conventional product).

The reel still features all the Shimano technology you would expect on one of their spinning reels and which makes them such a joy to use.

The Shimano Stradic 4000-FL has a wide, long stroke spool which is designed to give ultimate casting range with the latest hi tech ultra fine multi strand PE braids. It is a superb distance lure reel for using in a wide range of different situations.
