LEFT HAND WIND MODEL

The Lightweight Shimano Torium 20AL HG is a solidly-built star-drag saltwater reel perfect for live bait or bottom-fishing applications. Packed with features like Super Stopper, Cross Carbon Drag, A-RB (Anti-Rust Bearings) and High Efficiency Gearing (HEG), the Torium has it where it counts.

The Shimano Torium 20AL HG is a left hand wind version of this heavy duty boat reel. This makes it a popular choice for deep water jigging or as a general heavy boat reel for anglers who prefer left hand wind.

Hagane Body
The HAGANE Body is a metal reel body with high rigidity. The body stiffness and impact resistance virtually eliminates body flexing. The result transforms the angler’s actions directly into cranking power. It’s efficiency through strength.

Super Stopper
Super Stopper anti-reverse uses a one-way stainless steel roller bearing that eliminates back-play. This provides the angler with instant hook setting power.

HEGM
HEG consists of not only the gears, but also the frame, back-plate, and handle-side side plate. First Shimano increased the size of the drive gear and the pinion gear to offer increased leverage and power. By using a one-piece frame that incorporates the back-plate and adding a one-piece stamped side plate, they have eliminated flex in the drive train that causes gears to bind under pressure.

ARB
These stainless steel ball bearings are specially treated to drastically increase the corrosion resistance of the bearing. These bearings will last at least 10 times longer than standard stainless steel ball bearings in high salinity environments.
