Threadmaster One Finish

Threadmaster One is a water based single part rod finish which allows you to get a good finish to your whippings without the need to mix. It can give a very high quality finish and is best applied in several layers, a minimum of two is recommended but three coats gives a better finish.

To apply squeeze a small amount of finish into a mixing dish, there is no need to mix or stir the finish and it can be applied straight to the whipping. The first coat should be applied thinly so that it soaks into the whipping thread and forms a good seal. The second coat can be applied slightly thicker as this gives the gloss ‘hi build’ look. If any bubbles form these should be carefully removed with a pointed cocktail stick or similar tool (If time allows three thin coats will give a tougher and smoother finish). Turning the rod helps to give a smooth professional finish and reduces the risk of lumps forming as the finish cures.

The finish needs to be applied at a minimum temperature of 20آ°C but warmer is better. Please allow 72 hours between coats for the finish to fully cure.

As Threadmaster One is water based the brush and any spillages can be cleaned up with water.
